The Story

From Flighty to Foodie
A bit about me....

My love for all things dips began at a young age when my Grandma would make a traditional Hungarian dish called Liptauer. I can still recall my "Upstairs Nun" (given this name because she lived in an apartment block and we had to walk upstairs to see her) thickly spreading the delicious cheese dip onto warm fresh bread, as it melted I could smell the sweetness of the paprika and the anise of the caraway seeds and my love for homemade dips was born.

My career as a Flight Attendant gave me the opportunity to travel to many beautiful destinations and taste amazing food. I loved every experience I was lucky enough to have, but after ten years it was time to clip my wings and return to my homeland of Tasmania. My fiance (now husband) and I moved back to Launceston ready to nest, and with a list of recipes for gourmet dips and pestos in hand Trio of Dips was born.

I hope you love them as much as we do making them,

Cheers,

Sandy Stroud
